Rainwater Harvesting

By the year 2050, the worldwide availability of freshwater will have decreased by a third as a result of global warming, population growth, and wasteful habits. Up to 50% of an average household’s water use goes towards landscaping during the summer months. Installing a rainwater harvesting system is one way to reduce outdoor water use by collecting water during the rainy season. By capturing water in a 1500 square foot roof, a family could reduce their water bill by 50% and save 43,000 gallons of water yearly.

Let the AWS team design and build a rainwater harvesting system for you that waters with the purest water you can get for free. AWS can locate slimline tanks above ground, or larger tanks underground with automatic pressure activated pumps to suit your needs. We can couple the rainwater collection system with automatic irrigation systems to maximize the use of the water that you collect.

Do it Yourself - Low Flow Rainwater Irrigation Packages

Packages are available with a variety of rainwater storage tanks in various sizes, shapes and colours. Included in the package, is all the materials you will need (pump, holding tank, hose, fittings and timer) to set up your rainwater system. The rainwater from your gutters are diverted into the storage tank. The system is supplied with a low flow diaphragm pump available in a 12 or 110 volts. The pump will distribute the free rainwater from the storage tank to the drip irrigation lines for specific lengths of time at specific times of the day (digital timer). Never worry about forgetting to water those expensive hanging baskets again.
