AWS Irrigation stands behind Rain Bird’s newest release of smart controllers: the SMT-ESP Modular. This sprinkler timer is very versatile and can be installed for residential, small commercial and some multi-residential properties. What is it?
A smart controller is just that. A controller that is smart. Basically, it reads the temperature, knows your soil and plant types and waters just what your landscape needs. It will moderate and adjust itself, water within a specific budget and keep historical data at your fingertips. On average, you will see a decrease of water consumption in the range of 40%-60%! Weather specific schedule adjustments have never been so easy and convenient.

rt controller calculates a schedule specific to your immediate landscape needs.

In the event of rainfall, it pauses irrigation and measures precipitation. Once the rain has subsided, it determines exactly how much to adjust your watering schedule, preventing over and under watering. Traditional rain sensors suspend all irrigation - regardless on the amount of precipitation and will resume the next scheduling, needed or not.

The ESP-SMT Controller also takes into consideration what plant density it’s to water, type of soil, sun exposure and root depth requirements. With this data, you can be assured that it is maximizing your watering scheduling, that it is not over watering and that your landscape is getting exactly what it needs.
