AWS Irrigation Management is the Winner of the 2010 Rain Bird© Select Contractor® Water Efficient System Contest
Rain Bird announced that AWS Irrigation Management has won Rain Bird’s Water Efficient System contest which showcases AWS’s and Rain Bird’s commitment to water efficiency. The contest, open to all Rain Bird Select Contractors, required the installation of at least four of Rain Bird’s water efficient products and a demonstrated water savings of more than 25%.
AWS submitted a residential project for the contest. By installing Rain Bird’s 1804 SAM Spray with Rotary Nozzles, 5004 SAM Rotor, XF Dripline and the new ESP-SMT Smart Control System, AWS saved their customer over 180,525 gallons of water, which is a 62% reduction over a conventional system.
As Alan Driedger, President of AWS Irrigation Management, explains, “All of our lawn sprinkler systems are installed for maximum efficiency, using the newest products and technologies available. Our goal is to design and install irrigation systems that save our customers time, money and water.”
As the winner of the contest, AWS has won a trip to the Annual Select Contractor Business Conference which will be held January 10-14, 2010 in Maui, Hawaii. While in attendance, Mr. Driedger will participate in a presentation which will feature his winning project, along with other participants who will share best practices on water-efficient irrigation.
AWS Irrigation Management has also installed a water efficient system in Canada’s first Platinum LEED certified home. To learn more about AWS Irrigation Management, please visit their website, www.awsi.ca.
